Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel Medical-Surgical RN for assignments in Montgomery, AL. This 13-week travel role offers 36 hours/week on 12-hour day shifts, with start date 11/16/2026.

Responsibilities include bedside care, pre/post-op assessment, med administration, dressing changes, patient education, and discharge planning. Requires 1–2 years acute care experience and current BLS/NIH certifications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during exams and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
