TotalMed RN in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment. Start date is 11/16/2026 with 36 hours per week, on 12-hour day shifts, as a Travel Employment Type. The nurse will perform assessments, med administration, and patient education in a fast-paced Med Surg unit.

Requirements include BLS and ACLS with 1-2 years of acute care experience. Perks include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and benefits start day 1 among others.

Formación

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Provide bedside care for diverse Med Surg patients.
• Navigate post-op and pre-op patient needs while monitoring vitals.

Responsabilidades

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and discharge plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
