Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel assignment in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. The candidate should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and hold ACLS and BLS certifications. This travel role covers 13 weeks with a 36-hour work week and a 12-hour rotating shift.

The travel RN will provide bedside care, administer medications, manage dressings and IVs, and support discharge planning while educating patients and families. Perks include weekly pay and guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and prioritize care for Med Surg patients.
• Administer and record medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Prepare dressings, insert catheters, start IVs and support discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families; document findings and plans.
