Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Evansville, IN. The Med Surg Registered Nurse delivers high-quality care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, requiring strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• ACLS certification preferred; NIHSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document changes.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist during treatments.
• Maintain a safe environment and monitor infection control practices.
• Document patient information in the medical record with accuracy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Coordinate discharge planning and community resources.
