Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Medical Surgical RN for an immediate travel assignment in Quincy, IL. The 13-week travel position requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and PALS, with a 12-hour night shift. You’ll assess patients, administer care, document findings, and educate families. Expect a fast-paced environment with potential 20–50 lb patient handling.

Qualifications

• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document administration.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations.
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
