TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Dothan, Alabama. The RN will perform bedside care, administer medications, and support discharge planning in a fast-paced Med Surg setting.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications with 1–2 years of acute care experience. This travel position offers 13 weeks duration, 36 hours per week, and 12-hour day shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH, 2+ years certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med Surg patients, including pre- and post-op care.
• Administer, record and monitor prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Educate patients and families; participate in discharge planning.
