Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Danville, Virginia. The role involves night shifts on a 12-hour schedule for a 13-week assignment starting 09/29/2026. The RN will perform assessments, administer meds, and participate in discharge planning in a fast-paced Med-Surg unit.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, CPI certifications. Weekly pay and tax-free stipends are noted as part of the package.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, CPI, 1.5 Years experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Assist physician during examinations and treatments and educate patients and families.
