Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med/Surg Travel Nurse in Clyde, NC. The RN will perform bedside care, administer medications, and support discharge planning on a 12-hour day shift, 36 hours weekly for an 11-week assignment. 1–2 years of acute care experience and BLS are required.

This travel role offers a fast-paced environment with opportunities to develop clinical skills and expand patient education for families in a supportive team setting.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification.
• 1.5 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for pre- and post-op patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and post-care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
