Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. The position is a 13-week contract in a hospital setting, starting ASAP with a 36-hour work week and 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate is an RN with BLS and NIHSS, eligible for travel assignments, and able to float as needed while maintaining patient safety and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• BLS certification and NIHSS required.
• Experience as RN in Med Surg setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients with CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, AKI, and other conditions.
• Titrate heparin drips based on aptt results as required.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and PCTs to deliver quality patient care.
• Adapt to floating as needed, prioritizing external traveler staff for float assignments.

• Provide bedside nursing care to patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI.
• Titrate heparin drips based on aptt results as required.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and PCTs to deliver quality patient care.
• Adapt to floating as needed based on census, prioritizing external traveler staff for float assignments.
• Follow hospital policies, including maintaining a 1:6/7 ratio and wearing navy blue scrubs.
