Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Henderson, Kentucky. The role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting while earning competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires one year of Med Surg RN experience, an active RN license, and current BLS certification, with NIHSS and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg RN experience.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Preferred: NIHSS certification.
• Preferred: ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, document changes, and report concerns.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor responses.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical or surgical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Prioritize care based on acuity and clinical needs while maintaining efficiency.
• Ensure infection control practices are strictly followed, including hand hygiene and PPE use.
• Advocate for patients’ needs and preferences.
• Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate with external resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
