Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse for Lewiston, Maine. You will support department operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality patient care on night shifts.

Assignment length is 12 weeks with weekly pay and a $3/hour differential on top of base rate. Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS on hire, plus at least one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• At least 1 year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with daily Med Surg department operations and staffing.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate unit staff.
• Ensure efficient use of personnel, equipment and resources.
• Maintain high-quality patient care standards in the unit.
• Provide direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitor and adjust patient care plans as required.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve patient outcomes.
• Support a safe, patient-centered care environment.
• Oversee staff performance and unit operations during shifts.

Pay: up to $672 – $768 gross pay per shift; equivalent to $56.00 – $64.00 per hour.

• Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency:

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.00 to $64.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
