Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse to support partner facilities in Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week assignment offers night shifts, competitive pay, and a pathway for growth.

As a travel RN, you will lead nursing teams, ensure high-quality patient care, and collaborate with physicians to optimize outcomes. The role requires an active RN license and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) required at hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Director with daily department operations, staffing, and workflow management.
• Supervises, directs, and evaluates team members.
• Ensures effective use of personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Maintains efficient department operations and patient care standards.
• Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient care plans and directs necessary adjustments.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Supports a safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care environment.
• Oversees staff performance and unit operations during assigned shift.

Position: Travel Med Surg Registered Nurse

Location: Lewiston, Maine

Department: Med Surg

Shifts Available: Nights

Pay: up to $672 – $768 gross pay per shift; equivalent to $56.00 – $64.00 per hour.

Assignment Length: 12 weeks

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous one year of charge nurse experience in Med Surg setting required.
• PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

Pay Transparency:

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.00 to $60.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
