Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Craig, Colorado. The Mammo Tech will operate a mammography unit, ensure image quality, and forward studies to radiologists for interpretation.

Requirements include 1 year of experience, BLS, ARRT (M) certification, and state licensing if applicable. Travel benefits, 12-hour day shifts, and weekly pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of experience in mammography or related field.
• BLS, ARRT (M) certification with registration in mammography, and state licensing if required.
• Proficiency with radiology terminology and anatomy knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
• Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
• Conduct mammography study and maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures, determining necessary adjustments for optimum results
• Develop mammograms, observe mammogram results, retake mammograms as required, and forward completed studies to radiologist for interpretation
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
