Job Summary:
Mammographer - Mammography, outpatient setting. This position involves performing a variety of technical activities related to screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, assisting radiologists, and ensuring quality assurance on digital equipment. The role includes patient education, image acquisition and processing, and maintaining safety protocols in a teaching and research facility.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Mammography Certification (MAM) Licensure/certification required; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; at least 1 year of experience in mammography; current CPR certification; able to work in the specified location and meet the required schedule
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ultrasound-guided procedures and image processing; strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to mammography; excellent communication skills
• Additional Information: Responsible for assisting with procedures requiring knowledge of wire placements, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and specimen handling. Performs quality control and maintenance of mammography equipment. Position involves patient immobilization, image manipulation, and accurate documentation. Must follow all regulatory mandates and safety principles related to ultrasound and mammography procedures.
