Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week LTAC assignment in Newark, Ohio. The role requires a minimum of 1 year in LTAC or similar high-acuity settings, with BLS and Ohio licensure eligibility. ACLS may be required. Expect 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, with travel responsibilities.

You will join a team caring for patients needing extended hospital-level care, coordinating with doctors and therapists, and contributing to discharge planning and care optimization.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent LTAC or high-acuity RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Eligible for Ohio state RN licensure
• ACLS certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer IV medications, manage central lines, and monitor vitals and labs
• Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care, and wound management
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and case managers on treatment plans
• Support patient mobility, hygiene, and nutritional needs
• Supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality care
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility safety standards
• Document care activities accurately and in real time; participate in rounds
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning
