Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel RN for Long Term Acute Care in Tucson, AZ. This LTAC assignment runs 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Active RN license, accredited nursing degree, BLS/ACLS, and 18 months LTAC experience required.

Travel nurses receive weekly pay, housing options, and full credentialing support, plus benefits. You’ll care for patients, monitor telemetry, set up IVs, and collaborate with hospital staff in a fast-paced LTAC environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN License
• Degree from accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS Certifications
• Eighteen months of LTAC recent experience
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and reading Tele-strips
• Other requirements determined by client facility

Responsibilities

• Provide care for LTAC patients requiring extended medical care
• Care for 5-6 patients at a time
• Monitor and administer medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV)
• Educate patients and families on surgical processes and illness management
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret ECG telemetry
• Assist with admissions and discharges in a fast-paced LTAC unit
• Start IVs and draw blood, following patient from admission to discharge
• Support pulmonary care for HTN, COPD, CHF, A-Fib as needed
