Job summary

Electra Link, Inc. in Abilene, Texas is hiring Low Voltage Technicians at multiple skill levels to support upcoming projects across Texas. The role involves installing and testing low-voltage cabling, Cat5e/6, fiber, and related hardware, with travel to project sites and extended schedules.

Qualifications

• Previous low-voltage or cabling experience preferred but entry-level friendly.
• Ability to travel to Texas project locations.
• Willingness to work 6 days per week and ~10 hours per day.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Must have valid driver's license and transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling systems.
• Install Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, fiber optic, and other structured cabling.
• Pull, route, dress, label, and secure cable.
• Install cable pathways, supports, racks, cabinets, and related hardware.
• Perform copper and fiber terminations.
• Assist with testing and certification of installed systems.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, work orders, and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow company and customer safety requirements.
• Properly use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, foremen, and project team members.
• Complete assigned work accurately and within project timelines.
• Assist with material handling and jobsite organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned
