Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor fetal well-being, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires 1 year of L&D experience, an active RN license, and current BLS/NRP; ACLS and AWHONN fetal monitoring preferred. Travel compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification required

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery
• Provide immediate postpartum care for mother and newborn
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies
