Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for an immediate travel nurse position in Rutherfordton, NC. Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent acute-care experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, AWHONN, NRP, STABLE.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lean, and stoop for prolonged periods; lift up to 20 lbs comfortably and up to 50 lbs when required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patients throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression and dilation.
• Ensure beds are kept clean and dry; clean up bodily fluids expelled before and after the birthing process.
• Aid physician with delivery instruments and immediate care for newborns.
