Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Kokomo, IN. The role offers 36 hours per week, day shifts, and the chance to impact obstetric care across a supportive clinical team.

You will work with skilled professionals, handle postpartum and neonatal care, and maintain high patient safety standards while enjoying benefits and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination
• Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn stabilization
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members to deliver cohesive care
• Document care and interventions in the medical record
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpretation of results
• Assist in cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
