Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Wichita, Kansas. Start date 11/01/2026; 36 hours/week, 12-hour days. Travel role offering comprehensive benefits and a supportive clinical team.

The RN must have recent Labor and Delivery experience, active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification. Preferred: additional obstetric certifications and licenses as applicable.

Qualificações

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
