Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel RN to work in Labor and Delivery in Tracy, California. This 13‑week assignment requires 48 hours per week, with 12‑hour night shifts, starting 11/09/2026.

The nurse will deliver obstetric care, monitor fetal status, assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, and ensure mother‑baby safety. Required licensure includes CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP and advanced fetal monitoring skills.

Qualifications

• CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
• Active licensure and certifications listed above.
• Experience in obstetric care and childbirth procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and medications as prescribed.
• Manage pregnancy‑induced hypertension and other obstetric conditions.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Monitor fetal status using external fetal monitoring equipment.
• Provide postpartum and newborn care, including APGAR scoring.
• Maintain sterile procedures and patient safety throughout labor and delivery.

• Responsibilities include administration of blood and blood products, antihypertensives, antiseizure medications, management of pregnancy‑induced hypertension, assist with vaginal delivery, manage cesarean sections, monitor fetal status with external fetal monitoring, and use infusion pumps and IV monitoring equipment.
• Additional duties involve patient assessments such as APGAR scores, postpartum care including fundus, lochia, and perineum care, and maintaining sterile procedures during labor and delivery.
• Skills required include familiarity with epidural anesthesia, Pitocin administration, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal monitoring equipment.
• The candidate must be comfortable working with both the mother and newborn, performing clinical procedures related to obstetric patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams.
