Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position available in the department specializing in obstetric and neonatal patient care. This role is scheduled for night shifts, providing comprehensive care for both mothers and newborns, with a focus on high-risk deliveries and postpartum support. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team within a busy healthcare setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate and Beginner levels, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). A valid license must be in hand at the time of submittal.
• Preferred Qualifications: Labor and Delivery experience of at least 2 years, previous trauma level I or II experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Skills: Administration of blood and blood products, assist with amniocentesis, high-risk delivery management, sterile speculum exams, assist with vaginal delivery, postpartum care, neonatal assessments, use of fetal monitoring equipment, and various obstetric and neonatal procedures.
• Additional Information: The unit manages a daily census of approximately 14 patients, with 14 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, and more. Orientation involves 24 hours of onsite training to ensure clinical competency.
