Cross Country Nurses is seeking a Travel RN for Labor and Delivery in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves care in a Level 3 maternity unit, including labor, delivery, postpartum, C-section circulation, and nursery support.

The RN will triage obstetrical patients, monitor fetal health, manage postpartum care, and assist with deliveries in a fast-paced setting. This travel position requires 12-hour nights with a 36-hour minimum weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid certifications in NRP and BLS.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, LDRP model, post-partum, and C-section care.
• Experience managing a 3 couplet assignment, utilizing External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), and performing newborn assessments.
• Must be able to administer antihypertensives and insulin drips, assist with vaginal deliveries, recover C-sections, and use Radiant Warmer/Thermoregulation equipment.

Responsibilities

• Triage obstetrical patients, monitor fetal health, and manage postpartum care in a fast-paced unit.
• Assist with deliveries and C-section recoveries.

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves providing comprehensive care in a Level 3 maternity unit, including labor and delivery, post-partum, C-section circulation, and special care nursery. The RN will be responsible for triage of obstetrical patients, monitoring fetal health, managing postpartum care, and assisting with deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, LDRP model, post-partum, and C-section care. Experience managing a 3 couplet assignment, utilizing External Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), and performing newborn assessments. Must be able to administer antihypertensives and insulin drips, assist with vaginal deliveries, recover C-sections, and use Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation equipment.
• Preferred Qualifications: AWHONN Intermediate certification, experience with Level 1 Nursery, and circulating for C-Sections.
• Additional Information: The unit features 24 beds with patient ratios of 1:6. Equipment includes EFM, IVEHR, and Omnicell medication system. The patient population includes neonates and adults. The team manages obstetrical triage, pain assessments, and postpartum procedures. This is a vacant position scheduled to start on 09/07/2026.

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
