Job summary

Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a 13-week assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. This RN will cover L&D and Postpartum on a 25-bed unit, with a typical 12-hour day shift and a 48-hour work week.

Required: 3 years L&D experience, MA RN license, BLS, NRP, and EFM every 2 years; ACLS preferred. EPIC charting; shifts rotate to evenings/nights; EOW included; tax-free stipend to be determined.

Qualifications

• 3 years minimum experience in L&D.
• Current Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA BLS, NRP & EFM every 2 years for L&D.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide L&D and postpartum nursing care.

• LD and Postpartum RN Day Rotator w/ 1 Night of Call and EOW – 36 or 48hrs.
• Shift: Rotate between 7:00am to 7:30pm, 11:00am to 11:30pm, and 7:00pm to 7:30am with EOW.
• Unit Name: Labor & Delivery/Post Partum Unit.
• Brief Unit Description: 25-Bed Labor & Delivery Unit which encompasses: L&D, PP, NBN, 2 OR’s, 2 RR’s and 2 ANU rooms.
• Years of Experience Required: 3 years minimum.
• Skill Sets Required: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Circulate, & Newborn Care.
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: L&D 1:2-3 Evals, 1:1 Active Labor, Magnesium gtt or EPIDURAL.
• PP 1:3-4.
• Bed Count: 5 LD Rooms, 12 PP, 2 OR’s, 2 RR, 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds.
• Census: Average daily census 15-25 mothers, babies and labors.
• EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
• Floating Required: No.
• Rotating Shifts Required: Day Rotate position is primarily a Day position with rotation to Eves and Nights as needed.
• We cannot offer straight Days.
• Certifications Required: Current Massachusetts RN License.
• AHA BLS, NRP & EFM (every 2 years for L&D).
• Additional Information: AHA ACLS (preferred).
