Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a Travel Nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Pratt, Kansas. This 13-week assignment requires 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, with responsibilities that include monitoring labor, assisting with epidurals or cesareans, and caring for the newborn. ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications and 2 years of acute care experience are required.

The position offers travel pay, weekly pay, benefits, and a tax-free stipend; TotalMed RN supports nurses across facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• ACLs, BLS, AWHONN, NRP, 2 Years of acute care experience required.
• L&D travel nurses provide care and support before, during and after delivery. Commit to high-stress, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/dilation.
• Keep beds clean and dry and manage secretions as needed.
• Assist physician with delivery tools and setup.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
