Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel assignment in Akron, Ohio. This 13-week contract requires a 36-hour work week with 12-hour day shifts, starting on 10/04/2026.

Active RN license, accredited nursing degree, and required certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS/AWHONN) are mandatory, with at least 18 months of recent L&D experience. Travel benefits and comprehensive credentialing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN License is required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS AWHONN certifications are required.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Labor and Delivery setting.
• Other client-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery nurses provide care to women and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum and neonatal stages.
• Monitor mother and baby vital signs during birth.
• Monitor for potential high-risk problems.
• Educate and support mothers and families after birth.
