Job summary

A healthcare staffing company is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Labor and Delivery position in Omak, Washington. Candidates should have at least 2 years of L&D experience and required certifications including BLS and ACLS. The role includes working in a critical access hospital with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4. Benefits include high pay, insurance options, and a generous housing allowance. This is a 13-week contract with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Active WA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand.
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring.
• Critical access hospital experience required.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, newborn assessment, newborn care, postpartum care, and vaginal delivery.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Two professional references covering the past 2 years in L&D specialty required for consideration.
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide Labor & Delivery care and postpartum patient care.
• Assess and care for newborns.
• Administer IV therapy and ensure isolation precautions/PPE.
