Job summary

Pulse Healthcare Services seeks a Travel Nurse RN in Labor and Delivery to join the Family Birthing Center in Sacramento, CA. You will provide comprehensive, high-risk obstetric care through labor and delivery and postpartum stages.

The role requires 2+ years in L&D, circulating C-sections, and certifications (ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced; STABLE preferred). Night shifts are 12 hours with weekends/holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Circulating C-sections experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced certifications required; STABLE preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips in PACU.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for expectant and postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Circulate C-sections and participate in LDRP care.
• Utilize advanced fetal monitoring techniques and follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios.
• Titrate drips as needed, including Pitocin for labor progress.
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists and anesthesia staff 24/7.
• Adapt to float to the Mother/Baby unit as necessary.
• Participate actively in all shift responsibilities and readiness for emergencies.
