Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Hackensack, New Jersey. The right RN should have 3 years' recent acute care experience.

L&D Travel Nurses provide care and support for women before, during and after delivery. The role includes assisting physicians with epidurals, episiotomies, and cesarean delivery prep, with 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 22-week assignment.

Qualifications

• 3 years' recent acute care experience.
• BLS, NRP, EFM, ACLS and other required certifications.
• Travel RN in Hackensack, NJ with 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds and assist with delivery setup.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support to physicians during delivery.
