Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a travel assignment in Peoria, Illinois. The position covers a 15-week engagement with a 36-hour work week on 12-hour day shifts, offering travel-focused compensation and benefits.
The ideal candidate holds an RN license, is BLS and NRP certified, and has at least one year of L&D experience. You will support obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a dedicated clinical team.
Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- NRP Certification required
Responsibilities
- Provide care in labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum period
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and administer treatments as prescribed
- Assist during labor and cesarean delivery as needed
- Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Document care and outcomes in the medical record
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatal teams
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using established protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes
