Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Philadelphia, PA. The role is a 13-week travel assignment with a 36-hour week and 12-hour night shifts. Requires one year of L&D RN experience, active RN license in PA, BLS, and NRP; certifications like AWHONN/ACLs preferred.

You will provide obstetric patient care, monitor maternal-fetal status, and support the care team in a fast-paced labor and delivery unit. Travel benefits and competitive pay are included.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow medical instructions and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery exams.
• Provide postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Educate families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and neonatologists.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to enhance outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other procedures.
