Job summary

ND Global Consulting Services is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York. The duration is 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts and rotating schedules.

The RN provides safe, compassionate, patient-centered care in accordance with NY State Nurse Practice Act, UHS policies, ANA standards, and the Bill of Patient Rights. Requires NY RN license and BLS certification, with unit-specific compliance as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current New York State RN License.
• Current BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.
• Must meet all unit-specific requirements listed in the Compliance Matrix.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, delegate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Serve as the primary and/or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient-care needs.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease management, and available resources.
• Safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies and demonstrate appropriate pharmacology knowledge.
• Effectively utilize staffing, time, supplies, and other resources to support quality and cost-effective care.
• Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies.
• Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review.
• Participate in continuing nursing education, professional development, and required training.
• Incorporate current evidence and nursing research into clinical practice.
• Support the learning and development of new employees and nursing students.
• Demonstrate and uphold UHS values and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
