Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel nurse in Roswell, NM for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour nights. Immediate opening for an experienced RN with acute care background.

Responsibilities include monitoring during labor, assisting with epidurals or caesarean prep, newborn care, and patient support throughout birth. Requires BLS/NRP and 3 years in acute care.

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Travel nurse assignment in Roswell, NM.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix progression and dilation.
• Maintain clean and dry beds; manage fluids and secretions.
• Assist physicians with delivery instruments and prep.
• Provide immediate newborn care.
