Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Silvis, IL. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor fetus, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes.

Start date is 09/28/2026 with a 36-hour work week on 12-hour evening shifts. This travel role offers competitive pay and a strong support network from our clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards for obstetric nursing care
