Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Ogallala, NE. You will provide obstetric nursing care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, travel setting.

The role requires 1 year of L&D RN experience, Nebraska RN license, and current BLS. NRP certification is required; additional certifications (AWHONN, STABLE, ACLS) are preferred. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• Valid RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor, delivery, and exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care in the medical record and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
