Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Asheville, NC. The position is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications and at least 3 years of acute care experience. The role includes responsibilities spanning labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care, with ongoing support for physicians as epidurals, cesarean prep, and birthing processes are managed.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, AWHONN, NRP certifications required.
• 3 years' recent acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and assist with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression.
• Maintain clean and dry beds and assist with bodily fluids.</br>Assist physician with delivery instrumentation as needed.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
