Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As part of our team, you will help improve patients’ lives while delivering imaging services and patient care.

You will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound modalities, and ensure radiation safety as you collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures, passing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure adherence to radiation safety measures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members for seamless patient care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
