Job Summary

Interventional Radiology (IR) professionals are sought for a position at a busy healthcare facility located in Elgin, Illinois. This role involves providing intra-procedural care for adult patients in a Level II Trauma Center with a primary stroke designation. The position requires experienced Radiologic Technologists in Interventional Radiology, with responsibilities focused on intra-procedural procedures in diagnostic and interventional settings.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of Cath Lab experience for Registered Nurses and Technologists. Must hold applicable certifications including BLS and ACLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with hybrid procedures, EP, or IR procedures is a plus, but not required.
• Support on the Unit: Charge nurse available; RT (Respiratory Therapist) and hospitalist staff are available 24/7; cardiologists on call during the day and at night.
• Charting System: EPIC electronic medical record system; Alaris IV pumps; Pyxis medication dispensing; Mergin Hemodynamics; GE PACS; Siemens and Philips rooms, Inari, Penumbra equipment.
• Orientation: 2-3 days of orientation, approximately 8 hours per day.
• Scheduling: Rotation involves on-call shifts (10-11 per month), including 2 weekends per month. On-call hours are from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM during weekdays and 3:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday on weekends. Response time for on-call emergencies is 30 minutes.
• Other Notes: Scrub color is procedural (provided); free parking available; no sleep rooms; holidays are typically covered via call team; approval of time off to be coordinated with management.
