Qualifications

• Must perform equipment setup and maintain sterile field.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R certification.

• Interventional Radiology department located within the operating room
• Team includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1-2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP per day
• Facility features 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room, with additional procedures performed in radiology and CT rooms
• Procedures include cerebral angiography and intervention, stroke intervention, angiography and intervention of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography and intervention, biopsies (fluoro, CT, ultrasound), venous access (port, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and various drains (biliary, nephrostomy, abscess)
• Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
• Charting completed in EPIC
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required 5-7 days per month, including weekends
• No floating required between like units, though float between sister facilities within the state may be expected

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology required
• BLS and ARRT-R certification required; ACLS and ARRT-VI preferred
• WA State License required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with contrast administration required
• Experience with angiograms, nephrogram, and venous access required
• Experience with C-Arm and biopsies preferred
• Additional preferred skills include ablations and kyphoplasty
• Must be able to perform equipment set-up, prep access sites, room circulation, and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma Center with outpatient, IR, ER, and inpatient services across 571 total staffed beds for both campuses
• Scrubs of any color accepted, except reddish orange
• Parking provided at no cost
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Returning staff may be eligible to reapply after a 3-month waiting period
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
