Job summary

Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Columbus, Ohio. The role focuses on performing IR procedures, with a requirement of at least 2 years IR experience, ARRT Radiography, BLS, and preferred ACLS and Epic experience.

Siemens imaging systems proficiency and prior Level I trauma exposure are valued. You will work four 10-hour days on a travel contract with weekend alternation, while adhering to Ohio fingerprinting and compliance

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, thrombectomy/thrombolysis, and other endovascular interventions.
• Central venous access, ports, PICC lines, and dialysis access procedures.
• Drain placement/exchanges, chest tubes, gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy, and biliary drainage.
• TIPS, IVC filter placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PACS.
• C-arm and biopsy experience preferred.

Experience and certifications

• Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment.
• Epic experience is listed as required in the qualifications section but preferred in the narrative; confirm whether exceptions are accepted.
• Community hospital and Level I trauma experience preferred. Previous travel experience is not explicitly required.

Required clinical skills

The department performs IR procedures only—no Cath/EP, Neuro, or Hybrid OR cases.

Schedule and call

• Four 10-hour day shifts, 8:30 a.m.–7 p.m., Monday–Friday with a rotating day off.
• One primary weekday call and one backup weekday call per month.
• One weekend of call every 6 weeks, alternating primary and backup responsibilities.

Submission and compliance

• Locals accepted at the same rate.
• Submit to one location only.
• Provide 2 professional references, including at least one manager/director/formal supervisor. A charge RN is acceptable for the second; coworker references are not accepted.
• Submit all requested time off upfront and include it in the contract.
• Complete Ohio fingerprinting immediately after signing. Candidates within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location; distant candidates receive a packet.
• Meet the strict Tuesday-before-start compliance deadline.
• Former employees must be away for at least 6 months; current OSU employees are ineligible for travel assignments.
• Flu vaccination required; medical exemptions only. COVID vaccination is not required.
