Job summary

Focus Staff in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a traveling Interventional Radiography Technologist for a 13-week assignment. You will operate radiographic equipment to perform vascular and neuroradiology procedures, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour days.

The role requires proven IR radiography experience, strong patient safety focus, and excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Travel and temporary assignments are supported by Focus Staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Interventional Radiographer.
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work with others.
• Regular attendance is essential.
• Meet local health regulations and complete post-offer health assessment.
• Adequate physical and sensory capabilities for exam tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Develop and maintain skills in McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS and related systems.
• Monitor and ensure equipment performance to specification.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining supplies for patient care.
• Ensure relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
• Assist radiologists in performing exams with clinical excellence.
