American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures with ARRT (R) certification and TX-MRT licensure for a 13-week travel assignment in the Round Rock, TX area.

Requirements include 1 year IR experience, ARRT (R), TX-MRT license, active TX license if required, ability to work independently, sterile technique, first aid, and two references. Flu vaccination is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1+ year Interventional Radiology experience.
• ARRT (R) certification and TX-MRT license required.
• Active TX license may be required by the profession.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency in sterile technique for invasive procedures.
• Ability to administer first aid and use emergency cart.
• Two professional references required.
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions.

Responsibilities

• Perform IR procedures in lab settings on ambulatory and hospital patients.
• Work 4x10 hour AM shifts, Monday to Friday, with call.
• Serve newborn to geriatric patient populations.
• Prepare patients and areas, including positioning and equipment.
• Explain procedures to patients and assess tolerance.
• Adhere to safety, infection-control, and radiation policies.
• Maintain equipment and work areas to standards, coordinate with engineers.
• Obtain and maintain patient history, consent, and pregnancy/shielding info.
• Maintain imaging records for timely interpretation.
• May precept and train new team members.
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted.
