Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Schofield, Wisconsin. The IR Tech will operate fluoroscopic equipment, assist physicians with image-guided procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedures.

Qualified candidates should have 1 year of acute care experience, BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) certification, and a vascular interventional certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year of experience in acute care.
• Proficiency with interventional radiology procedures and patient care.
• Familiarity with radiation safety and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians during procedures.
• Prepare and monitor patients undergoing interventional procedures.
• Explain procedures and provide reassurance to patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document findings.
• Protect patient and staff from radiation exposure per standards.
• Operate IV and dye injector pumps as needed.
• Understand anatomy and physiology relevant to IR exams.
• Utilize PACS to review and report imaging studies.
