Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Portsmouth, NH. The IR Tech will operate fluoroscopic equipment, assist physicians in image-guided procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, ARRT(R) certification, and any applicable state licensing.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) national certification required; state licensing as applicable.
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain procedures to patients; provide reassurance and support.
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient during all procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards and safety measures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to procedures.
• Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
