Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 4-week assignment in Littleton, Colorado. The IR Tech will prepare patients, operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, and assist physicians in sterile procedures in a fast-paced IR lab.

The role requires one year of IR tech experience, ARRT/RCIS/RCES certification, and current BLS. Great pay, benefits, and vendor support accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound to guide procedures.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in for sterile procedures and maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Follow radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Manage and restock procedural supplies such as catheters and contrast agents.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to provide seamless care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
• Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures.
• Perform other duties to support IR lab operations.
