Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Cardiac IR with 2+ years of experience and RCIS certification with IR tech background for a hospital-based cath lab and IR unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit performing cardiac cath lab, EP, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend shifts required
- On-call required, 14-15 days within a 6-week rotation, weekday call 5:30 PM-7:00 AM and weekend call Friday 5:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
- No floating within scope required
- Community hospital setting preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Tech with IR Tech experience
- ACLS, BLS, and ARRT (R) certifications required
- RCIS certification with IR Tech experience required; license required if applicable
- Charting system experience required (any EMR)
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and acting as room circulator
- Experience with angioplasty, IVC filter placement, vascular studies, dialysis graft interventions, and TIPS procedures
- Experience with EP studies including cardiac ablation, mapping, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including PCI, PTCA, and left/right heart catheterization
- Experience with renal and ureteral stent placement and neurological interventions such as thrombectomy
- Skilled in IV starts, rotablader procedures, and peripheral/venous access
- Two professional references required for consideration
- PDF copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, electrophysiology, and vascular procedures
- Expected to work some holidays and weekends
- One RTO request permitted per assignment
- Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after completing a 1-year assignment before returning
- Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility may be considered as an exception
- Orientation and annual training modules are completed through the Relias/Net Learning portal
