Focus Staff in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a traveling Interventional Radiography Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The role involves operating radiographic equipment to perform vascular and neuroradiology angiographic procedures and support radiologists.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of IR experience, be able to make independent decisions, ensure patient safety, and communicate clearly with staff, physicians and patients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Interventional Radiographer.
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Develop and maintain skills in clinical systems related to modalities.
• Monitor and ensure equipment performance to specification.
• Assist supervisor in maintaining supplies for patient care.
• Ensure relevant exam information is captured at the time of the exam.
• Assist radiologists in performing exams with clinical excellence.
