Job summary

TotalMed Allied in New Orleans, LA is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for a 13-week assignment. The IR Tech will operate fluoroscopic equipment, assist physicians during image-guided procedures, and prepare patients for procedures while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Candidates should have 1 year acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, ARRT (R) certification, and relevant licensure; a Vascular Interventional certificate is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ARRT (R) National Certification required; state licensing as needed.
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and monitor during procedures.
• Assist in scrubbing and setting up interventional rooms.
• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and ensure radiation safety.
• Document patient information and procedural details.
• Maintain and use the McKesson PACS system.
