Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charleston, South Carolina. The role targets hospital-based interventional procedures with 40 hours per week, day shifts, and potential cross-facility coverage.

The position requires IR experience, ARRT radiography certification, BLS, and SC license eligibility, with the possibility of floating to a sister hospital and an on-call rotation."

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as a radiologic technologist, or at least 1 year in Special Procedures/VR IR.
• Recent IR/Hybrid OR experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.
• ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required.
• BLS certification through AHA required.
• SCRQSA Radiographer Certification required.
• Active SC or compact license required, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise Special Procedures exams to produce diagnostic quality films.
• Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures and obtain informed consent.
• Maintain radiation safety following ALARA and regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate with radiologists and team; support imaging department operations.
